Yes of course. We have a team of up to 4 therapists who can come and pamper you and your friends. Please have a look at the Pamper Parties section of the website, get in touch and we create the perfect package just for you and your friends.

Do you have a good choice of colours?

We currently have over 300 Nailchemy and OPI gel polishes, over 150 OPI regular polishes and a frightening amount of glitter, so I’d like to think the answer to your question is a resounding yes!

Can I buy a polish to match my gel polish?

Yes you can. We always have the most recently released colour collection in stock and can order any shades you want.

I’ve seen a picture of some nails I like on Pinterest. Can you do them for me?

Probably! We’ll certainly have a good go! If you have something particular in mind then it’s always helpful to let us know ahead of your appointment so we can have a think (and a play around!)

I’m not sure what design I want, can you help me decide?

Of course. We have a huge collection of polishes, colours, stamps, gems, foils, glitters and other art products for your perusal. I’m sure we’ll be able to come up with something together!

What’s the benefit of using NAILCHEMY & OPI GEL POLISHES? My friend gets a cheaper brand and her nails look good!

Nailchemy & OPI gel polishes are a pure gel formulation which means they are stronger and longer lasting with a highly durable shine that will last for weeks. Hybrid gel polish systems are not as strong and durable as pure gels.

Non professional products can cause allergic reactions, due to their formulation and ingredients and should be avoided.

I’ve never had a gel manicure before. How does it work?

A base coat is applied and cured for 30 seconds under a special LED light. We will then apply two layers of your chosen colour, curing for 30 or 60 seconds between each coat. Once any chosen nail art has been applied, your nails are finished with a clear top coat and a final curing. Hey presto! You’re left with beautiful shiny, smooth and dry nails.

How long will my manicure last?

Fuchsia Beauty clients find that their nails last for at least 14 days and usually far beyond this. Your expectations need to be realistic though; if your nails are thin, peeling or very flexible, your gel manicure may not last as long. If you are someone who uses your hands a lot, the  gel can chip a little quicker. Don’t panic though. We can get them there together, with some simple home care advice and some maintenance on your part.

How WILL MY GEL POLISH BE removed?

We remove the gel polish without causing any damage to your natural nails, but you’re welcome to purchase the foil wraps and follow the advice given and do this yourself at home. Regular clients tend to just get their old gel removed free of charge at the start of their next manicure, meaning they have beautiful nails, all the time!

Can I do anything to help my manicure stay intact for longer?

It’s probably no surprise to hear that our gel manicures will last longer if you look after your nails and follow the aftercare advice. We recommend massaging one of our cuticle oils onto your cuticles and any dry, rough areas twice a day to replenish essential moisture. Don’t bite, pick or attempt to remove the gel without taking advice from a professional nail tech.

Ear Candling FAQs

What is Ear Candling?
Ear Candling, also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy is a safe, non-invasive and relaxing treatment to have and can greatly improve the health of the ear, nose, threat and sinus areas. It is said to help cleanse the mind, body and soul, creating a relaxing, enjoyable treatment for both clients and therapists. It has been used for thousand of years by many civilisations, Egyptian, Chinese, Aztec, Tibetan, Mayan and American Indian cultures. It is widely believed that the therapy was brought to the west by the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona and it is interesting to note that Hopi means “peaceful people”.
How does Ear Candling actually work?
The candle is placed in your ear with a tight seal between your ear and the candle. When lit, the burning of the candle and the movement of the flame create a very mild suction to help loosen any ear wax or congestion. The ears, nose and throat are all connected and the ear candling can aid in regulating and balancing the pressure in the upper respiratory tract, as well as clearing the head, nose and sinuses. The warmth of the flow also stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems and increases immune defence. It is important to understand that a course of treatments is often required to help with specific conditions.
What happens during my Ear Candling treatment?
Your 45 minute treatment includes ear candling to both ears followed by a wonderfully relaxing pressure point and lymphatic drainage massage.

You will be placed in a comfortable position with your head supported by a pillow. The Biosun ear candle will be lit and gently placed just inside your ear. I steady the candle by placing my hands lightly around your ear area. You may hear a slight crackling or fizzing noise as the ear candle burns and you may also feel a pleasant warmth around the ear, head and neck area.

Each candle takes between 10-13 minutes to burn and has a filter inside to prevent anything going into the ear. After both ears have been treated, a soothing facial massage, including lymphatic drainage, is carried out, paying particular attention to the sinus areas.

What are ear candles made from?
I only use Biosun Hopi ear candles as they have a proven track record of quality and reliability. They are hollow pure beeswax candles containing all natural ingredients: honey extract, traditional herbs such as sage, St John’s wort, camomile and pure essential oils.

Callus Peel FAQs

How long does it take?
To treat both feet, it takes at least 30 minutes, with the patches themselves taking 15 minutes to work their magic. For particularly stubborn calluses, two treatments may be required.
How often should I have a treatment?
It depends on your lifestyle, what type of shoes you wear and frankly, how bad the calluses are, but a treatment is recommended every 2-3 weeks. Results can be seen after the first treatment though. Callus Peel is a treatment NOT a cure.
Is it safe?
Yes. Callus Peel uses cosmetic ingredients only.
Can it be used on other areas of the body?
No. The Callus Peel treatment is only suitable for areas of callus on the feet.
Is it hygienic?
Yes. The Callus Peel skin softener patches are individually packaged and the foot file pads are disposable. The scraper that is used to remove the callus is sterilised between clients so you can relax safe in the knowledge that there won’t be any nasty germs ruining your treatment.
Does the treatment hurt?
No, it will only hurt if you have open cuts on your skin. Dry cracks are fine, as long as they are not weeping or bleeding.
Are there any side effects?
No, as Callus Peel is only for callused/dry areas on the feet.
Why do calluses appear?
Pressure applied to the feet over time causes the skin to harden and calluses to appear.
How often should I have a Callus Peel treatment?
A treatment is recommended every three weeks, although results can be seen after the first treatment.

Indian Head Massage FAQs

What is Indian Head massage?
Indian Head Massage is an exceptionally relaxing treatment, a total de-stressing programme that complements the whole body. It is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been practised in India for over a thousand years and its aim is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. The massage has a powerful effect, bringing the energy of the whole body back into balance.
What does the treatment involve?
Indian Head Massage involves different massage techniques designed to stimulate pressure points to the upper back, arms, neck, face and head. The physical action of the massage helps to breakdown and eliminate toxins. It also increases circulation which brings vital nutrients to the head and brain, resulting in a clearer mind and greater concentration.
How is it done?
You will be seated and clothed during your Indian Head Massage. It concentrates on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face with or without the use of oils. At the end of the treatment the chakras are balanced to encourage the vital energy flow through the body.

Nail shaping, thorough nail prep, cuticle tidying, cuticle oil and a replenishing hand cream application.
